Lee's Surprise 50th
Birthday RSVP

Join us for a cold one for the old one and a night of laughs and celebration as we toast to Lee's fabulous fiftieth birthday! 🎉

We're taking over Tapyard at Hoults Yard on 13th June from 7PM until late. Come ready to party and help us make this milestone unforgettable!

Answers to the usual questions are at the bottom of this page but if you want to know anything else you can include it on your RSVP below.

I will be there
How many of you will there be?
Are kids welcome?

Yes—some kids are welcome for all or part of the evening! We just want to avoid the party turning into a soft play free-for-all, so please give us a heads-up before confirming. That way, we can make sure the numbers are balanced, and you can still enjoy a drink without being asked to referee a game of hide and seek. Appreciate the understanding!

Will there be food?

Absolutely! A light buffet will be served early in the evening, so if you don’t want to miss out, don’t be fashionably late. Please confirm numbers in advance (so no one goes hungry!), and let us know if you have any dietary requirements—we don’t want anyone surviving on breadsticks alone.

What drinks are on offer?

Plenty! Expect a solid selection of draught and bottled beers, cocktails, teas, and coffee from the lovely folks at Tynemouth Coffee Company. Just a heads-up—the bar is cashless, so make sure you bring your card or have Apple Pay ready. Nobody wants to be that person asking if they can pay by cheque.

Can I park at the venue?

Yep! There’s on-site parking, but it’s camera-controlled, which sounds intense, but it just means you’ll need to register your car via a QR code to avoid any nasty surprise fines. Good news: parking is valid for 48 hours, so if you decide to enjoy an extra drink (or three), you can leave your car overnight and collect it the next day—no judgment here!

Where is the venue?

Hoults Yard is just down from Ouseburn by the Quayside in Newcastle. Tapyard is on the left as you enter Hoults Yard—just drive under the archway, go a couple of hundred metres, and it’ll be on your right. If you get lost, just follow the sound of laughter and clinking glasses.

What’s the dress code?

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! It’s a party, not a board meeting—so whether that’s jeans and a nice top or your best dancing shoes, go for it. Just keep in mind that Lee will be expecting some moves on the dancefloor, so maybe avoid anything that limits your ability to throw some shapes.

What time does the party start?

[Insert start time here]. Arrive when you like, but food is served early, so don’t roll in hours late and wonder why all that’s left is a sad plate of crisps.

Can I bring a plus one?

Of course! Just let us know in advance so we don’t end up playing an impromptu game of musical chairs trying to squeeze everyone in.
